Information Update - November 2011...

The Theatre Royal here in Castlemaine will be screening a new series of ballet films starting the weekend of November 26 & 27. On that weekend the Bolshoi version of The Nutcracker will be shown at 11.30 am on the Saturday and at 1 pm on the Sunday.

Next year the Theatre Royal will be showing The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, Romeo and Juliet and Raymonda. You can get a handout of the details at the theatre.

Encourage your friends to go with you and have a more enjoyable time discussing the ballets afterwards.

Outline of Course
In the first half of 2011 we will look at documentaries on some of the world’s best ballet companies, such as the Paris Opera Ballet and the New York City Ballet. In the second half of the year we will look at some influential ballet personalities such as Sylvie Guillem and Robert Helpmann.
