Course Outline
Taken by our own Castlemaine Mac expert. Bruce is also our U3A web master. The group will learn general and specific matters concerning Apple products. These sessions cater to both beginners and more experienced users. Throughout the year we will go “back to basics” for new users and to remind others of the forgotten delights of our Macs. Bruce uses a large screen display to demonstrate, thus enhancing the learning experience.
There is a charge of $3 each class.

Entry Criterion
Little or no knowledge of the Apple Macintosh is needed, just an interest in Mac computers.

Time
9.30 am to 10.30 am weekly on Mondays, commencing 6 February.

Salvation Army Hall, Kennedy Street (adjacent railway station).

 

Basic Computer Skills - All year

Course Outline
Ongoing course for those wanting to learn and improve their computer skills. Uses the Internet, Email and Word programs. Content can be tailored to suit the students.
There is a charge of $2 each class.

Entry Criterion
Beginners welcome.
Regular practice at home between classes.

9 am to 12 noon weekly on Fridays, commencing 10 February.

How do I do that? - All year

Course Outline
For all levels of computer users (Windows PCs).
If you have a problem with achieving some task on your computer, or want to find out how to do something with your computer, come to this class. Covers sound, video, internet and eReaders, etc.
There is a charge of $2 each class.

Beginners to advanced.

Pix to PC and Beyond - All year

Course Leader

Course Outline
For students with digital cameras who want to learn how to get the photos on to their computer, and then upload to web sites, photo albums, create online products, email to friends and family.
There is a charge of $2 each class.

Entry Criterion
Participants need a digital camera and computer, and to be able to perform these activities unaided, after class.

1.30 pm to 3.30pm, Wednesdays, commencing 15 February.
