21July USA - the first Americans, European discovery and settlement. This will be the first in a series on the history of the USA. Every second meeting from July to November will be devoted to an aspect of its history including:
1 September Europe in the 1930s and the causes of the Spanish Civil War
6 October Colonisation of New Zealand



American History:

The second session of Dabbling in History each month will be devoted to a study of American History. Members are welcome to attend this course independently of Dabbling in History which takes place on the first Wednesday of the month at 10.00am in the Kindergarten Hall

Session 5 November 17 Made in the USA: the birth of corporate America, the people, the Square Deal, New Freedom

It is expected of participants in this class that they would be prepared to undertake some independent research of an event or contemporary associated with the period under study.
