Course Outline
Bridge is the most popular card game in the world because it relies on skill rather than luck. It is excellent training for the mind in planning, strategy setting and memory development. We play every Tuesday afternoon throughout the year in a pleasant environment. Notes are provided and regular problems set.
There is a cost of $1 per person.
Entry Criterion
Some Bridge playing experience and willingness to learn.

1.30 to 4 pm Tuesdays commencing 7 February.

Course Outline
This course will enable participants to learn (or relearn) to play bridge. Usually 4 to 6 weeks is needed and notes are provided. On completion, members will be encouraged to join the continuing Tuesday Bridge class.
Entry Criterion
Participants should have some card playing experience and willingness to learn.

1.30 pm to 3.30 pm Wednesdays 8 February for 4 to 6 weeks.

Outline of Course
Provide a meeting venue for U3A members who do not wish to attend formal classes, but value social contact with other members. Initial meeting will discuss agenda.
Entry Criterion
Aged 80 years + (partners welcome if desired). Bring own lunch to first meeting, and your ideas.
Meeting Time
12 noon to 1.30 pm second Wednesdays, commencing 14 March.

Solo Group - All year

Outline of Course
The Solo Group was devised for the special group of people who live alone. It is entirely unstructured and offers lively conversation relating to issues of concern, with humour and conviviality. Bring your own lunch and the host will provide tea and coffee at a Saturday afternoon informal get-together.
Entry Criterion
People without, or who have lost, partners.
Meeting Time
12.30 to 3.00 pm each third Saturday in the month, commencing 18 February.
